April Lockhart

April Lockhart was born on July 4th, 1995. in seventh grade. She began playing the guitar as well as taking piano classes, which ignited her interest in music writing. April Lockhart penned her first single"Different" at 12 years old. At the age of 14, April devoted a great deal of time in creating song concepts and practicing the music she was playing. She started writing songs with her dad in NY and LA shortly after. April began to include various other topics relevant to the"Take my Hand song for some close friends, like peer pressure problems and suicides among teenagers. Lockhart has her own fan base and works as an online lifestyle blogger for the renowned Ilia Clean Beauty brand. Born without a left hand, the woman is an important part of her. But it's not her entire story. So, Lockhart's Instagram account does not shy away from her disability, but it doesn't center around the issue neither. What is the message? We are all more than the physical person we are. The identities we have are complex and encompass a variety of dimensions. Lockhart says in a video interview with Lockhart in a video interview "I do not believe that disability should define me. It's not my intention to have an impact on disability because I have plenty to offer." And it doesn't affect my daily life. I conduct every day as normal and have found the best way for me to adapt things. This is also part of me, and I believe it's something that needs to be addressed. The journey of self-acceptance that Lockhart has taken is one that will last a lifetime, but she can be a role model for this purpose. Even so, Lockhart admits having moments of feeling uneasy about her appearance and wearing clothing with arms. She can wear whatever she likes, and happily shares pictures of her in these outfits. Self-love she said is a process. "I believe that you'll ever get there," she said. This is, however, the case with anyone with doubts. It's vital to surround yourself those who can see and know your true heart.
