Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th, 1960 Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej [now Onesti] Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast in history to receive a score of a perfect out of 10 at an Olympic event. Bela Karalyi discovered Comaneci at age six. She later became the gymnastics coach of Romania. In 1969, she competed in the Romanian Junior Championships and placed 13th. In 1970, she won the title. In 1972, as part of an international meet of communist country juniors before the Olympics, she took home three gold awards. Then in 1973 and 1974, she won the champion of all juniors. The athlete won four golds and one silver awards in her debut competition as a senior that took place in 1975. This was the first time she participated as a senior. In 1976, she won the American Cup at the New York City Olympic Games. She also was the first female in history to dismount the parallel bars using an inverse salto that doubled backward. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her first professional work was in the entertainment industry during her teens, when she appeared in the figure skating duo of the older sister Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a U.S. citizen born on 6 September, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. Carol began her journey into the entertainment business in her teenage years. At the age of 13, Carol began as a figure skater for traveling shows Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. These shows included theatrical ice-skating shows.
