Amy Lou Adams Amy Lou Adams (born on 20th August 1974 in Aviano, Italy). American actress. Known for playing naive charming characters. Adams was raised in Italy as her father worked in the U.S. military and she was raised in Castle Rock Colorado as one of seven kids. The mid-1990s saw her begin doing professional dance and performance at Boulder's Dinner Theatre in Colorado and Country Dinner Playhouse. Later she was in Minnesota, at a local theatre she was chosen to be a part of an unrealized documentary film about beauty pageants called Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her move from Minnesota to Los Angeles after making her debut in the screen with a good-natured but snarky contestant. She was married to Tony Curtis was her partner between June 1950 and September 1992. They had two kids, Kelly Curtis as well as Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh's film career began after signing a MGM contract in the late 1940s. She was discovered by actress Norma Shearer. The decade following she was in a variety of popular films including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960), and Living It Up by Martin and Lewis (a 1954 film).
